Rapeseed oil introduction:
Rapeseed oil is also named canola oil. Rapeseed Oil is a totally natural product. We extract the oil using a mechanical Oil Press without the using of chemicals to ensure the natural goodness of the oil is preserved. As rapeseed oil has half the saturated FAT and 10 times the Omega 3 level of Olive Oil, many top cardiologists now recommend Rapeseed Oil as part of a low cholesterol diet. In addition it is suitable for high temperature cooking as it has a much higher smoke point than extra virgin olive oil.

Rapeseed oil is widely available and public health advice encourages its use as a substitute for saturated fats as UK diet and nutrition surveys reveal we’re eating too much. Replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats such as rapeseed oil has been shown to reduce blood cholesterol, which is beneficial for heart health.

How to get rapeseed oil?

How to make rapeseed oil from rapeseeds ?
Rapeseed oil processing machine starts with rapeseed, with oil content 40%, more or less. Same with other common oilseeds, there're four main sections of rapeseed oil extraction plant, including prepressing/pressing/pretreatment section, solvent extraction section, refinery section and dewaxing/winterization section.

How does the rapeseed oil press (canola oil press) process work?
Step 1: Cleaning machine——The main function of cleaning is to remove mechanical impurities in rapeseed.
Step 2: Softening machine——Softening is to adjust the temperature and moisture of rapeseed with steam.
Step 3: Flaking machine——Flaking uniforms oil seeds to thin cake, which benefits oil pressing and extraction.
Step 4: Cooking machine——Cooking reduces moisture in flakes, which is much easier to press oil out from oil seeds.
Step 5:Pressing machine——The final products of this section is just pressed canola oil and pressed oil cake.

Features of the rapeseed oil press machine:
★ Easier to operate, easier to install and commissioning.
★ Need small investment, fewer land space, but with the complete function of the production.
★ Need fewer labor than the single machines, only 2~3 persons can run the whole line
★ The semi-continuous can avoid the unstable material feeding caused by manual and can make the worker safety more under the higher temperature working situation.

Rapeseed oil solvent extraction process:
There are four big parts in solvent extraction workshop.They are solvent system, desolventizing system, condensing system and recycling system. We can get rapeseed wet meal and crude rapeseed oil.Rapeseed wet meal can be as animal feed, crude rapeseed oil contains solid impurity, chemical impurity and smelly odour etc. So crude rapeseed oil can go to next refinery workshop.

Crude rapeseed oil → degumming and deacidification→ decolorization →deodorization → refined rapeseed oil.

Main process of the crude rapeseed oil refining:
1. Crude rapeseed oil degumming process,
2. Crude rapeseed oil deacidification/neutralization process
3. Crude rapeseed oil decoloring process
4. Crude rapeseed oil deodorization/distillation(deodorising unit) process

Main functions of rapeseed oil refining machine:
Water   → Degumming → Gums
Alkali    → Deacidification   → FFA
White Clay   → Decolorization → Pigments
Steam   → Deodorization → Beany Flavor

a.Degumming and deacidification section: This part is used for removing the phospholipid and FFA in the crude oil.
b.Decolorization section: this part is utilizing the white clay to get rid of the pigment in the soybean oil. It can make the soybean oil much more clearer.
c.Deodoriztion section: This part is using the direct steam to take the beany flavor away, to make the soybean oil good flavor.
